Hide Desktop Icon Text on Win7

1. Right-click on the shortcut, and then Rename .

2. Now hold down the Alt key and type  255 on the keypad to the right of the keyboard. 
Warning:
You can’t use the number keys right above the keyboard, they won’t work.
